Let’s explore the energies of the Root and Heart Chakras.
The Root Chakra is our base, our connection to our body and the Earth. The Heart Chakra is our center, our connection to ourselves and others. Each are believed to have a relation to the Endocrine System and the hormones affected by stress. The Root Chakra to the adrenals and the Heart Chakra to the thymus.
The adrenal glands and thymus work together to help the body respond to stress and maintain homeostasis.The adrenals produce a variety of hormones, including cortisol and adrenaline. These hormones are released in response to stress and can affect various bodily functions, such as increasing heart rate and blood pressure, and decreasing immune function. The thymus plays a role in the immune system by producing T cells, which help to fight off infection and disease.
We can similarly work with Root and Heart Chakra energies to help calm and balance our energy when dealing with stress.

Find a comfortable seated position.
Take a few breaths to settle in and connect to your body.
Imagine your connection to the Earth. Deep roots connecting you to the ground. This is your foundation and base.
Once you feel anchored shift your awareness up to your heart space. This is your center of love and connection.
Feel love warm and envelope you, allowing anything that is holding you back emotionally to release gently.
Once you are ready imagine a thread connecting your Root to your Heart balancing the two energies. Strongly Rooted and deeply balanced in Love.
