GRIEF AND THE HEART-FINDING GENTLE ACCEPTANCE

Grief is not a single moment in time. It is a series of waves, rising and falling in intensity, shifting in shape, and sometimes arriving without warning. It can feel sharp one day and quietly dull the next, reminding us that healing is never linear.

Grief comes in many forms. It may arrive with the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a change in identity, or even the closing of a chapter in life we once held dear. Each form is valid, each wave is sacred.

At the center of these experiences lies the heart, the energetic space where love, connection, and compassion live. The Heart Chakra often carries the heaviest weight of grief. It asks us to stay open even when we want to close, to soften into acceptance even when it feels impossible.

THE WAVES OF GRIEF

Some days grief feels like a storm: overwhelming, crashing against the shore of your being. Other days it is quieter, a low tide that carries with it a tender ache. These cycles remind us that grief is not something to move past, but something to move with. By honoring its presence, we allow space for the love beneath the loss to remain.

A RITUAL FOR THE HEART

Our founder created Accept Chakra Oil during her own time of grief. She turned to the Heart Chakra for guidance, and crafted a blend to support its healing. The oils chosen were not random, but intentional—each carrying qualities to comfort and soften the heart’s edges.

  • Bergamot offers gentle uplift, like sunlight breaking through heavy clouds

  • Benzoin carries a warm sweetness, helping to ground sorrow with steadiness

  • Yarrow has long been seen as a plant of protection, creating a safe container for emotions to unfold

  • Jasmine encourages tenderness, reminding us of beauty even in moments of pain

Together, these oils form a blend that does not erase grief, but holds space for it, inviting acceptance and compassion to emerge.

HOW TO WORK WITH ACCEPT

You might place a drop of Accept over your heart before meditation, breathwork, or journaling. Some find comfort in massaging it gently into the chest, allowing the act of touch itself to be part of the ritual. You may also anoint your pulse points before sleep, inviting your heart to soften into rest.

Grief asks for patience, for compassion, and for presence. It is not something to rush or to fix. It is an invitation to sit with what has been lost and to honor the love that remains.
