WHY BALANCE SEEMS ELUSIVE

Balance can be approached in many ways. It can be felt through the body, supported through ritual, or observed in the way we move through our daily lives. Sometimes it is a matter of pace. Other times, it is a matter of awareness. Balance is not a fixed state, it is fluidity.

This month, we are exploring balance through the relationship between masculine and feminine energy.

These energies are not fixed or external. They exist within each of us, expressing themselves in different ways depending on the moment, the environment, and the season we are in.

Masculine energy can be experienced as structure, clarity, and direction. It organizes, defines, and creates form through intention. Feminine energy expresses as receptivity, intuition, and creation. It allows, senses, and brings depth and meaning to experience. Neither exists in isolation, and neither holds precedence over the other.

In Hindu philosophy, these forces are described as Prakriti and Purusha. Prakriti is the creative force that gives shape to life, while Purusha is the witnessing consciousness that holds awareness. One expresses, the other observes. Both are essential to the continuity of life.

A similar understanding appears in the concept of Yin and Yang, where seemingly opposite energies are understood as interdependent. Each contains the presence of the other. Each is necessary for balance.

Rather than viewing these energies as something to define or perfect, they can be observed as patterns within our own experience.

There are moments when we feel drawn toward clarity, structure, and outward movement. There are also moments that invite reflection, receptivity, and inward awareness. Imbalance tends to arise not from experiencing one or the other, but from remaining in one state without awareness of its counterpart.

Through small, intentional pauses, we can begin to recognize how we are relating to these energies. Not to correct them, but to understand them. Awareness itself often creates a subtle shift, allowing space for a more natural rhythm to emerge.

Over time, this becomes less of a concept and more of a felt experience. You begin to move with greater fluidity between action and receptivity, structure and flow, clarity and intuition. Allowing yourself to exist as both.

Inspired by the interplay between masculine and feminine energy, our Chakra oil, Blend is designed to support this sense of internal harmony without directing you toward a specific state. It does not ask you to become more one or the other. Instead, it invites awareness of both, allowing balance to arise through presence rather than effort.

BLEND CHAKRA OIL
$24.00

Or newest Chakra essential oil blend is inspired by the polarized feminine and masculine energies that fuel the ebb and flow of the universe and celebrates all gender expressions.

In Hindu philosophy, these energies are called Prakriti (feminine) and Purusha (masculine). Prakriti is the creative force that gives form to matter while Purusha helps manifest it into the universal consciousness.

Similar to the Chinese Philosophical concept of Yin (feminine) and Yang (masculine), you cannot have one without the other and they are both equally important. Each exists within us to one extent or the other. Often one more dominant than the other throughout different times in our life.

Ardhanarishvara represents the polarity of Prakriti (feminine) and Purusha (masculine) and how they are inseparable from each other.
