Exploring the Crown Chakra
The Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara, is traditionally associated with higher awareness, consciousness, spiritual connection, and our relationship with something larger than the individual self.
Unlike the lower Chakras, which are closely connected to our physical and emotional experience, the Crown invites us to consider what exists beyond our immediate perspective.
Beyond the Need to Know
Much of daily life requires us to plan, organize, decide, and manage outcomes. Those skills are necessary, but they can also create the expectation that we should always know what comes next.
In the context of the Crown Chakra, surrender isn't about giving up responsibility or becoming passive. It is about recognizing that we cannot control every outcome and allowing space for a larger perspective.
Sometimes clarity comes from stepping back rather than trying harder to find the answer.
A Wider Perspective
Higher awareness can begin with something very simple: recognizing that our individual experience is part of something larger.
Time in nature, meditation, prayer, contemplation, creative practice, or simply being still can shift our attention away from the immediate demands of the day.
These practices don't necessarily provide answers. They can change the way we see the questions.
The Crown and the Whole System
The Crown Chakra is often described as the highest point of the chakra system, but it does not exist independently from the Chakra below it.
Our ability to explore higher awareness is supported by the foundation we have developed throughout the body. Grounding, emotional awareness, personal power, expression, and inner vision all contribute to how we experience connection and perspective.
This exploration is more meaningful when we remain connected to ourselves.
Making Space for Awareness
There is value in creating moments where we aren't consuming information, solving problems, or moving toward the next task.
Even a few minutes of quiet can create a different quality of attention.

Directions: Take a small amount of product out of the jar and rub between fingertips to melt to oil. Massage deeply into the scalp for 5-10 minutes. Leave on for at least 20 minutes. For a deeper treatment, leave on overnight. Shampoo with your normal natural shampoo and conditioner as needed. Recommended use: 1-2 times per week or as needed. Note: Both Shea Butter and Babassu Oil melt on contact with skin and have low melting points. To keep solid during warmer weather store in a cool, dark place, or in the refrigerator.
