TS-PRO: LEADING YOUR CLIENTS THROUGH THE 4-7-8 BREATH
Including Grounding work in your practice isn’t a one size fits all endeavour. In our introductory course Grounding Rituals in the Spa we introduce you to many ways you can experiment with adding this powerful process to your offers and scripts for guiding your clients through the experience.
One example is a 4-7-8 Breath Technique.
4-7-8 Breathing is a pattern aimed at relaxation and stress reduction. This involves breathing in a controlled pattern of 4 counts in, hold for 7, and releasing for 8. This pattern of breathing is known for calming the mind, promoting better sleep, and facilitating a sense of tranquility and mental focus.

Script:
Find a relaxed position and close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose to a count of 4, filling your lungs completely.
Hold your breath for a count of 7, allowing the oxygen to nourish your body.
Slowly exhale through your mouth to a count of 8, releasing any tension or stress.
Pause for a count of 4 before repeating the next breath instructions.
Repeat this pattern for several rounds, asking your client to focus on the sensation of their breath and allowing themselves to feel grounded and centered.
